Overview
Lobo is a powerful 32/64bit PCI-card DSP card with configurable
FPGA for high-speed digital interfacing and co-processing.
It combines one C6713 DSP with a 3 or 6 Mgate Virtex-II
FPGA and a high-speed, flexible digital I/O interface
to/from external hardware at bi-directional rates in
excess of 2GBytes/sec. Fast DDR memory is dedicated
to the FPGA, allowing data capture and pattern generation
of large data sets at full data port rate. Both 80-pin
digital I/O ports are standard-configured as 40 LVDS
pairs straight to the FPGA, and are firmware re-configurable,
allowing any implementation of protocols such as FPDP,
FPDP2, ChanneLink. Lobo serves numerous emerging fields
requiring high-bandwidth digital streaming and co-processing
like IF capture and co-processing for broadband communication,
instrumentation requiring remote analog interfaces,
digital pattern generation for semiconductor chip testing,
electronic warfare and advanced digital control.
